Network supplying LTTE uniforms busted in India
Apr 03, Colombo: Indian Coastal Security Police in Rameswaran yesterday busted a network involved in supplying uniforms to the LTTE.
The police raided a boat near the fishing harbour in Rameswaram. “The boat used to make illegal trips to Iranatheevu, controlled by the LTTE, in Sri Lanka. There were five persons on board,” a spokesman for the Police said.
He also said that the arrested LTTE operatives sailed into the sea in the guise of fishermen. They told the Police they have visited Iranatheevu twice in the last four days.
